Invaders on the Lawn

"Greetings! We're from the planet..." Before Xora could finish her sentence, the Earth woman fell like a large tree and struck the ground.
     "By the seven stars, is she dead?"
     Xora's husband looked down at the fallen giant. "No, she's very much alive. I'm inclined to believe that this is some sort of defense mechanism, much like the zorgal rats on Venus. Or, she could be hibernating, but I don't think that's very likely. Oh well, we'll introduce ourselves when she comes to. Or, we could talk to that chunky gal over there with the pink hat. Uh, excuse me miss..."

     I got this idea from an old book cover, a Space Family Robinson cover done many years ago. I wasn't planning to post this, but I spent the entire day trying to get back up to speed with Adobe, and it was fun. My old copy of Corel is behaving very badly, and I'm having to find alternatives to it; I haven't figured out what the problem with it is yet. Meanwhile, as you can see, I've got things well under control. Hopefully Lois will come to soon and figure out why there were lawn gnomes talking to her.
