Sinbad-arama

I did a picture in February of 2010 called Sinbad-arama, based on the movie "The Seventh Voyage of Sinbad." While it was a really cute idea, it was not very well done. I compared the both of these last night, and I was frankly shocked at how much my art has improved in the last four years. I've been wanting to re-do this one for over a year, and finally, here it is. The old one didn't even have a sky background, and was colored in cruddy coloring pencils. Anyone who remembers the old one would have to agree that this is so much better all around. It is also much more faithful to the original movie. BTW, I have the 7th Voyage DVD at home; made in 1958 before I was born, it still totally rocks. We in my generation grew up with the masterworks of Ray Harryhausen, who passed away this year.
