I rarely have any project sit on my board for more than a few days, but this was a rare exception. It was a very busy week, which included a job transfer and some job hunting thrown in. I tell people that I love any picture that tells a story, and I'm not sure what this one is. As near as I can figure, Principal Skinner took Edna over to the power plant, and for some reason left her when the emergency alarms started going off. Edna's caught up with him, and is not very happy about the situation. I recently saw the trailer for "War of the Colossal Beast" online, and I haven't seen the movie since around 1970 - there was an airport scene in it. I originally had her standing behind the plane, but thought it more interesting to have her step over it (actually, it looks like she's moving at a good jog). He might have been trying to catch a ride on that little Cessna she's got in her hand, much to the dismay of the poor pilot hanging on to the elevator. I'm a pilot, and a lover of aviation - note the windsock at the left of the picture.

You know what's odd? In recent years, Bart and Edna have starting befriending each other since Bart has somewhat become a little mellow.

It's kind of funny thinking that Bart has been in school so many years...if they did it in real time, the Simpson kids would be out of college already...I write my Futurama stories about 20 years ahead of the show...

In my Futurama stories, Amy and Kif have a daughter named Annie [link] , and Leela and Fry have two kids, Phil Jr. and Sara [link] . The professor is already dead and gone in most of my stories, but his inventions and such make appearances here and there. I wrote a whole series of four stories dealing with Leela finding her cyclops planet.

Those were fun to write. Leela gets to the planet, only to find out that there is a lobe in her cyclops brain that comes to life and feeds her information upon her return to the planet. She starts speaking the language, and doesn't even know why. [link] .
