Treehouse Trilogy of Terror I by Gulliver63 Treehouse Trilogy of Terror I by Gulliver63
"Seymour, don't make me go in there with the Simpson kids...they scare the hell out of me. I know the girl can read my mind..."
"It's going to be fine, Edna - the government team will be over in the next room. Just keep them occupied for a few minutes."
"They'll know, Seymour...they'll know..." Edna no sooner walked into the room when she felt that static charge all over her body. She was quickly immobilized - she could only move her eyeballs around and moan in fear...and that terrible scanning of her brain began, like a burglar ransacking her home...

I don't know how I got in such a mood for horror, but I've pulled a bunch of overtime lately. This is based on several movies. If it looks familiar, it is basically the same idea that I used several weeks ago with Professor Farnsworth [link] ; I wanted to do the same idea with the Simpson kids. Oh, that power...that terrible power. Marge used to call them 'spirited' when they were younger. And then there is little Maggie...she's already making her blocks float around in the air...

With Lisa I was inspired by a character in Escaflowne named Shesta who was a 'seer' - she would cock her head back and go into a trance when she used her gift. The Simpsons and Treehouse of Horror are owned by Matt Groening.

There is more to come...

This remember me a movie call "Scanners", where some persons could read other people mind's, control their body and, of course, make their heads explode...
Here is a scene: [link]

Good God - I got a headache from just watching that. I've seen parts of that movie...that was from the 80's when I was in high school. It's neat the ideas that people have sent in...I know that the topic has been visited many times in movies. It's one of the classic horror movie tropes. The second part of the trilogy is underway, and I'm not certain about what the third part will be yet.

I'm glad you mentioned the eyes...I spoke about Shesta in "Escaflowne." I wanted this idea that she would go into a spaced-out trance as she was digging through someone's mind.

Reminds me of "Village of the Damned", which my friends and I called The Damned Village.

BTW I don't know if you saw this: [link]
Harryhausen did the special effects for "The 7th Voyage of Sindbad. I heard the theme from the movie played on the classical station, and didn't realize why until I saw the cartoon in the paper. :(

That is truly awesome, my friend...I used to do cartoons of that beast for my nephew and nieses - I called him "Joe Cyclops." My daughter told me that he'd died. I've got several homages to Joe and his creator in my gallery; he was made in 1958, and still looks great on DVD today.

As far as Village of the Damned," you've probably seen the Simpsons parody [link]
